It is with great joy that we announce the long-awaited 67th session of Harmony Hill Singing School, to be held June 13-18, 2021.
The theme for this year is “Cast Down But Not Destroyed,” drawn from the theme verses, II Corinthians 4:8-10: “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” Our theme song “Preservation” (#441 in the PBH) is also based on these verses.
Elder Andrew Beauchamp will offer our devotional messages this year; please be in prayer for him and all others involved in preparations for singing school. Much prayer, deliberation, and discussion has been invested in this year’s session. Our intention is to conduct singing school more or less as usual; we will not be requiring masks. The Board of Trustees is still deliberating over what precautions would be prudent and appropriate for the week of singing school. We pray for wisdom, peace, and clarity as we attempt to steward Harmony Hill Singing School through these times with discernment.
Online registration is open, and this year particularly we ask that you register by April 30th. We are not sure what kind of attendance to expect, and your early registration will help us greatly with preparations! If you have questions or experience problems with registration, please contact Dan Beauchamp at email@example.com.
We have several workdays planned, which you can find on the website or the Facebook group Friends of Harmony Hill. Please join us if you can! Information regarding schedules and guidelines may be found on our website; by registering, you pledge to read and honor these guidelines, which exist to bless and protect our community.
We eagerly anticipate singing together again after a long, difficult, and often isolating year. The disruptions of the past few months have taught us in a whole new way to honor and delight in the privilege of gathering in worship and fellowship. We encourage you to unplug, log off, and fully engage in the refreshment of a week set apart from ordinary distractions and dedicated to the most important things: the worship of God, the word of God, and the people of God.
Until June, please join us in thanksgiving and prayer for the 67th session of Harmony Hill Singing School. See you soon!
